Victorian Minton Floor Restoration Royston Hertfordshire
This wonderful Victorian geometric floor in Royston, Hertfordshire was covered with an ageing shellac varnish that was cracked and flaking. The old varnish was acting as a smoke screen, obscuring the wonderful colours contained within the floor, giving the floor a continually dirty appearance.
Our first task was to remove the shellac varnish from the Victorian floor tiles with our Eco-friendly stripper containing natural plant extracts. Then came the thorough deep cleaning of the floor.
The finish applied to the floor is a hard wearing breathable satin gloss exclusive to Carr Restoration, which as you see really brings out the natural clay colours.
