Victorian Minton Floor Restoration Markeaton Derby

A simply stunning Victorian Minton tiled floor in Derby, full of vivid colours and encaustic tiles, this really is a wonderful Victorian hallway floor. These are the kind of floors we like, nice small mosaic pieces intricately placed to stunning patterns.

There were quite a few loose tiles as the hallway is above a cellar, this loosening of the tiles is possibly caused a slight flex in the timber as you walk along the length of the hallway. The tiles themselves where in very good condition with a few splatters of paint, a couple of oil stains. But the main discolouring was from an old sealer than we stripped away.
