Victorian tiled floor in Stamford Cambridgeshire, tiles manufactured by Minton Hollins. This floor was previously restored by a competitor using inferior replica tiles that had a poor colour match and as such needed to be replaced.

Requested to consult and repair this by Insurance loss adjusters, after this floor was previously restored by a competitor using replica tiles that had a poor colour match and as such needed to be replaced. There was also some examples of really poor tiling which needed to be replaced.
The previous restorers had also managed to saturate the porous tiles with chemicals whilst removing the original floor seal. Residue from these chemicals can be see as a white dusty patches across the tiles.
Note this is not a damp floor as samples were taken from the tiles and substrate.
