A superb Victorian tiled floor within the lovely Glen Garth Hotel,Barrow-In-Furness. The geometric and encaustic floor by Craven Dunnill is simply stunning with a wealth subtle shades, designs and shapes. Found by the current owners beneath carpet, save for a few missing tiles the floor in still in very good condition and definitely a feature to be proud of.
As the floor is well over a 100 years old there are naturally going to be stains that cannot be fully removed and once the floor is fully cleaned sometimes there may be the odd artefact of these stains. This is where the colour enhancing properties of our sealers come into play, by boosting the natural clay colours to camouflage and reduce the appearance of any blemishes left after deep cleaning.
The floor was finished with a hard wearing satin gloss with non-slip properties.
