A few months back we worked on the floor next door with the same pattern, this customer was so impressed by what we had achieved next door that we were asked to restore this floor as well.

We found this floor to be technically cleaner, but it was apparent that someone had tried to repair the floor previously with original style tiles of metric sizing. This naturally created much large grout joints and the original style colours have alway been a little poor for restoration purposes; so we cut them out.

The photo set really isn’t that impressive due to the lighting condition this time of year.

Beneath the old varnish in this Walsall hallway lies a fantastic Victorian tiled floor with tiles by Craven Dunnill. Overall the floor was in really nice condition with a few smatterings of character in the form of the odd small oil stain and a couple of small cracks.

Our first task was to remove the varnish and get to the dirt below. After a thorough clean and drying off we enhanced the colours with our premium tile sealer and satin finish.

The result is floor that looks simply superb and easy to maintain.

Another stunning geometric tile floor from the West Midlands, this time from Walsall. These Victorian tiles manufactured by Craven Dunnill were covered in a range of contaminants as the property owner had undergone a massive amount of refurbishment.

We had to cope with different layers of varnish, polish, plaster, cement, paint and lincrusta adhesive. But as you can see we managed to remove all of those. The sealer used is from our new Platinum line which we can now offer as an optional extra sealer, due to its cost.
