This Victorian floor in Mapperley Park Nottingham needs to be restored in stages due to the amount of damp that had been trapped beneath the old polish.

We have stripped away the old polish and deep cleaned the floor, though there is still alot of drying to be done, a highly breathable sealer has been applied. So the plan is to return at a later date to enchance the colours and establish a shine where possible.

A superb example of Victorian geometric flooring craftsmanship! This floor is still in fantastic condition and flat as can be. There was evidence of wide spread linseed oil use, most of which we managed to remove and in-turn brighten the overall look of the floor. With the majority colours being rather neutral, more emphasis is placed on the blue squared areas once the sealer and polish has been applied.
