This Victorian hallway floor in Mansfield Nottingham needed a fair amount of repair work to be completed before we could start the cleaning process. The tiles are Ferrolite by Platt’s, some of the hardest tiles you come across in the Victorian floor restoration business, unfortunately this hardness does not prevent them from stains and ingrained dirt or absorbing paint splatters; which this floor was full of.

The first task was to break down the huge amount of paint, then the deep cleaning of the Victorian chequer board could begin. The finish is a tough hard wearing gloss finish.

As soon as we saw this Minton floor in Mansfield we knew it had real potential. Would you believe this wonderful had been hidden beneath an old carpet; the work of madmen surely.
