This herringbone floor in Alsager Staffordshire had a few signs of the surface polish and sealer below degrading due to damp. The oleo-resinous seal was very old, discoloured and in the majority of areas broken down.

Using our new eco friendly neutral chemicals, neither the polish or sealer posed much of a problem and once removed the floor was fully deep cleaned.

To finish the floor we used our new breathable satin sealer to enhance the colours and protect the tiles from wear. No one has a sealer tougher than this.

Edwardian Floor Cleaning West Bridgford Nottingham

A really nice Edwardian herringbone floor in West Bridgford Nottingham, these hard fired tiles really do enhance to a lovely dark red colour.

We found the floor to be in a really nice condition with just a couple of minor cracks and some shadowing from carpet underlay and paint splatters. After giving the floor a good scrubbing with our advanced cleaning products we sealed and finished the floor off with a high gloss polish.

Like all of our polishes, this coating is non-slip and low maintenance and requires nothing more than dusting or the odd mop.

This Victorian tiled hallway in Birmingham was laid in a herringbone design with tiles from Craven Dunnill. And as you can see the tiles were covered with our most loathed of coverings; shellac varnish. The varnish had really soaked into the tiles, removing this was never going to be easy. But we managed in the end.

There was also a section that was covered with vinyl tiles securely fixed with F Ball tile adhesive which luckily doesn’t bleach the tiles like evostik does.

Once cleaned, we sealed and polished the floor to a rich satin finish.

Minton Tile Cleaning Harborne Birmingham

This herringbone tile floor in Harborne needed a deep clean and a good seal to draw out those lustrous Victorian tile floor colours. After removing remnants of old polish and some ingrained dirt we set about cleaning away the cement residues that has collected in the pores of the tiles over the years.

As you can see our new Platinum sealer has increased the colour levels quite substantially. There’s a subtle satin gloss shine, so it looks like it is clean without looking too shiny.

Edwardian Floor Restoration Burton Joyce Nottingham

This floor had a multitude of contaminants ingrained into the tiles. Everything from floor paint, to varnish and trapped dirt. Household cleaning would never had touched these. Then there was the mess the carpet fitters had made, not only did they drill the carpet grippers down but also lathered the grippers with Evostik adhesive which was drawn deep into the porous tile body. Unfortunately not all of those stains could be removed.

We would also like to thank the owners of this floor, as they are two of the nicest people we’re ever likely to meet.
