Unfortunately we cannot all be master painters and often these fine Victorian floors have paint splattered across them from painting walls and ceilings or little slug trails around the skirting base where we haven’t had a steady enough hand or used masking tape.
Then of course there are the floors which are covered from fore to aft in floor paint, red, battleship grey, even black; we’ve seen it all.
The good news is that paint can be removed much easier than some stains, but it can still be a real pain. The more porous earth colours can draw the paint down deeper than whites, blues and greens and may leave a little evidence.
